because art is on the brain today.

I'm no expert on graphic novels/animation art, but I do enjoy browsing the shelves at nucleus every now and again.

I believe one of the first nucleus shows was a collection of artists from the first volume of flight--this is mostly speculation, since these goings-on all predated my discovery of nucleus in February (ninja madness, so fun!).

From mattbrady at newsrama:

Flight is an anthology book that collects comic short stories by creators in the comic and animation industries, coming together to celebrate the graphic narrative medium. These are professional and non-professionals whose work and visions were inspired by internationally-acclaimed storytellers such as Hayao Miyazaki and Moebius.

Anyway, the next issue of flight is due out soon (like, April?) and "flight crew" over at flight comics posted up previews a few days ago. I'm especially looking forward to this one, by Jake Parker, who creates the just the best robots, ever.
